Orbit does not talk to your watch directly. It reads your training and recovery through intervals.icu, a free training platform that connects to most watches and wearables. Connect your watch to intervals.icu, then connect intervals.icu to Orbit, and that is the whole setup.
The same three steps whatever you wear. If you already use intervals.icu, skip to step three.
After that, a run reaches Orbit within about ten minutes of syncing. The user guide walks it screen by screen.
Everything below can get its data into intervals.icu, directly or through an app. What each one shares varies by platform and by device, so check intervals.icu's Connections page for yours. Solid chips are what the platform normally sends; dashed ones depend on the device or a companion app.
Connect Garmin Connect in intervals.icu. Runs, lifts and everything else you record arrive, with last night's sleep and HRV.
Connect COROS in intervals.icu. Activities sync automatically; wellness readings follow where your COROS records them.
Connect Polar Flow in intervals.icu. Activities and the wellness readings Polar shares sync automatically.
Connect Suunto in intervals.icu. Activities and Suunto's wellness readings sync automatically.
Connect Wahoo in intervals.icu. Rides and runs recorded on Wahoo devices come across.
Some models reach intervals.icu directly, others only through a sync app, and what comes across varies. Check intervals.icu's Connections page for yours before you count on it.
Apple Watch does not connect to intervals.icu on its own: a third-party iPhone app carries your workouts, and the Apple Health readings it supports, from Apple Health to intervals.icu. Install one, sign it in to intervals.icu, and let it sync.
Connect either in intervals.icu for sleep and recovery. Wear it beside your watch: the watch records the runs, the ring or strap the nights.
Connect Zwift in intervals.icu, and check its Connections page for the other indoor apps it lists.
Your watch's own wellness readings (sleep, HRV, resting heart rate) count the same as a ring's.
If your runs only reach the outside world through Strava, they will not reach Orbit.
Strava's API terms stop intervals.icu from passing Strava activities on to other apps, Orbit included. An activity that arrives in intervals.icu only through Strava stays a stub Orbit cannot read.
The fix is to connect your watch's own platform to intervals.icu directly (Garmin Connect, COROS, Polar and so on). Strava itself is fine to keep using.
intervals.icu connects to more than this page names, directly and through third-party sync apps. If your device can get its activities into intervals.icu, Orbit can read them. Check intervals.icu's Connections page, or ask when you request an invite.
